Jane Sun

Company: Trip.com
Title: Chief Executive Officer
Industry: Travel

Standout achievement in 2025: Delivered 60% year-over-year bookings growth for Trip.com Group and launched the Tourism Innovation Fund, an initiative supporting sustainable, technology-driven travel projects.

Sun has held three major C-suite roles at the travel company, which maintains headquarters in both Singapore and China. She first became chief financial officer in 2005 and subsequently served as chief operating officer. She was appointed CEO in 2016.

The company shares, listed in both China and on the Nasdaq, have risen in value over 100% since the pandemic. In the first half of 2025, Trip.com's total bookings increased by 60% year over year at its portfolio brands, which includes Ctrip, Qunar, Trip.com and Skyscanner. International bookings, in particular, reached 120% of their pre-pandemic level last year.

Across Southeast Asia, Trip.com's workforce has expanded by 400% over the last five years.

Asia's largest online travel company is now facing one of its most significant leadership challenges as its scale draws scrutiny: the Chinese government launched an antitrust probe in January, which has kept the shares under significant pressure since reaching an all-time high and market cap of $50 billion late last year.
