A data industry veteran with past roles at Oracle, Microsoft and Cisco, Ipsen joined higher education technology company Ellucian in 2017 and has led its global expansion and SaaS transformation, with the company's learning platform now reaching approximately 3,000 colleges and universities across 50 countries and serving more than 21 million students.
Ipsen oversaw two significant moves for the company in 2025: the winning bid for edtech company Anthology's enterprise software business, and the launch of Journey, a platform that uses AI and LLMs to help power skill progression tracking and personalized courses, and career recommendations.
Together, the moves expanded Ellucian's global reach and expanded access and opportunity for millions of learners.
