Standout achievement in 2025: Advanced the Rare Impact Fund's mission to raise money and resources for youth mental health through partnerships with Sephora and others.

With more than 20 years of experience in social impact, including serving on First Lady Michelle Obama's senior staff, Cohen has focused her career on driving cultural change.

As chief impact officer at Rare Beauty and president of the Rare Impact Fund, Cohen has worked side-by-side with Selena Gomez, the brand's founder and a fellow 2026 CNBC Changemaker, to break down unrealistic beauty standards and promote self-acceptance. One percent of all Rare Beauty sales is donated to the fund in support of its mission.

The Rare Impact Fund raises funds with philanthropic foundations, corporate partners, and individuals in its community. Cohen co-created a partnership with Sephora in honor of World Mental Health Day that has raised nearly $5 million since inception, including nearly $1 million in 2025. The 2025 partnership coincided with the launch of Rare Beauty's fragrance, Rare Eau de Parfum.

Playing a key role in furthering Rare Beauty's purpose-driven business strategy, Cohen has helped raise over $30 million for the Rare Impact Fund. In all, she is helping to mobilize $100 million to expand access to youth mental health resources globally.
