Blank launched the company in 2021 to provide care for women's hormonal and metabolic health, including treatment of underserved conditions like PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), thyroid disorders, endometriosis, unexplained weight gain, perimenopause, and hormonal imbalances.
She launched the company after dealing with her own unexplained health issues before she received a PCOS diagnosis. Quickly realizing that many women were struggling to find solutions for a wide range of conditions and symptoms, Allara scaled to address this gap in treating complex women's health issues.
In 2025, Allara had its most transformative year yet. It raised $26 million in a Series B funding round led by Index Ventures, which provided fuel for nationwide expansion and operational scale. The company has now raised more than $40 million. It also achieved insurance coverage in all 50 states, doubled its provider network, and has grown to serve more than 60,000 patients.
