In 2025, Rare Beauty, which has grown to a valuation reported to be as high as $2.7 billion, launched its first fragrance, Rare Eau de Parfum, marking the brand's expansion into a third category after its success in makeup and body care, and with a focus on accessibility.
Gomez was personally involved in developing the product and worked in collaboration with hand therapists and packaging engineers to design a perfume bottle that addresses the needs of consumers with dexterity challenges, including those with conditions like arthritis or lupus.
One percent of annual Rare Beauty sales go directly to the Rare Impact Fund, a nonprofit that is mobilizing $100 million to expand access to youth mental health resources globally, and which is also being recognized on the 2026 Changemakers list with the inclusion of Elyse Cohen, Rare Beauty chief impact officer and Rare Impact Fund president.
