Lance Braunstein, Managing Director, is Head of the Aladdin Product Group (APG) at BlackRock. APG is the engineering organization that designs, builds, and runs BlackRock's enterprise investment management technology, Aladdin which is used by both BlackRock and external clients. Lance's team is responsible for product engineering, product management, product design, and platform engineering for Aladdin. Lance joined BlackRock in April 2019. He was most recently the CIO at E*TRADE, where he was responsible for the technology strategy for the firm. Previously, he was the CIO at OptionsHouse, a retail derivatives trading firm that was acquired by E*TRADE in 2016. He spent 19 years before that at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
