As Redfin's chief technology officer, Bridget Frey leads the software engineering team, which she has grown to more than 150 engineers in Seattle and San Francisco. Her mission is to build technology that makes the process of buying and selling a home less complicated and less stressful. She started coding when she was five on an Apple IIe and has built software and led teams at high-growth tech companies for almost 20 years.

Frey specializes in big data, analytics engineering and systems architecture. She is a thought leader on engineering culture and issues facing women in technology, and nearly 32 percent of Redfin's technology team are women. She holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Harvard University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
