Edward Blair

Dr. Edward Blair is the Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship and Chair of the Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship in the C. T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston. He has served as a Senior Fellow at the National Institute of Statistical Sciences, as chair of the American Statistical Association Committee on Energy Statistics which advises the U.S. Energy Information Administration on statistical matters, as a member of the U.S. Census Bureau Advisory Committee, as Visiting Scholar at the U.S. National Center for Education Statistics and as a National Science Foundation panelist in Innovation and Organizational Change.

Dr. Blair's research interests include survey research methods and price information processing by consumers. His research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Public Opinion Quarterly, Sociological Methods and Research, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, and elsewhere. He has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and Journal of Business Research, and as national conference chair for the American Marketing Association (AMA). He also has served as President and Vice-President of the Journal of Consumer Research Policy Board.

Dr. Blair has taught in UH's highly ranked entrepreneurship program since its founding and has seen many former students create successful businesses.
