Benjamin M. Cole

Benjamin M. Cole, Ph.D., is a Professor of Strategy & Statistics and holds the William J. Loschert Endowed Chair of Technology Entrepreneurship at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business, where he serves as a Faculty Advisor to the Dean on Innovation. Dr. Cole is published widely in the fields of technology and innovation, where he has examined the role that audiences play in increasing or decreasing the impact of technologies in the larger world. He is a sought-after expert on blockchain / cryptocurrencies and has been featured in Fortune, Fast Company and TechCrunch among others. Dr. Cole was inducted as a Fellow of the British Blockchain Association in 2022 and was named by Poets & Quants as a "Top 40 Undergraduate Business Professor" in 2018 and "Favorite Business Professor by the Class of 2022." During his 16 years at the Gabelli School, he has been selected by 7 different graduating classes for recognition—earning the Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence (three times), the Gladys and Henry Crown Award for Faculty Excellence (three times), the Stanley Fuchs Award, and the Faculty Cura Personalis Award from students. Dr. Cole has also been the recipient of the Dean's Award for Excellence in Research (three times), the Dean's Award for Impact (twice), and the DEI Achievement in Belonging: Faculty Curriculum & Teaching Award. He is the former Director of both the Full-time and Professional MBA programs, and the Managing Director of the Family Stewardship Council, a private forum for Family Firms, Funds or Offices (FFFOs).
