Dan Olszewski

Dan Olszewski is the Goldberg Family Director of the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship at the Wisconsin School of Business. He has received multiple teaching awards, including the 2024 Wisconsin Technology Council's Excellence in Entrepreneurial Education award. He has taught various courses, including the graduate capstone Entrepreneurship WAVE course, and co-founded the award-winning Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp(MEB). Before joining the UW, Olszewski was the CEO of Parts Now! and Katun, where he grew the imaging supplies company from $26 million to over $400 million in revenue through organic growth and acquisitions. With the support of private equity sponsors, he successfully led the buyout of the founder in 1999. Prior to his tenure at Parts Now!, Olszewski was a consultant at McKinsey and Company, focusing on strategy, technology, and finance. He has also held positions at IBM, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and Yasuda Fire and Marine Insurance in Tokyo. Olszewski currently and previously has served on the boards of various public, private, and startup firms, as well as the Henry Vilas Zoological Society and Wisconsin Public Television. Olszewski holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Computer Science from UW-Madison and an MBA from Harvard.
