If you frequently fly with JetBlue or own the premium JetBlue Premier Card, you'll be happy to know the airline opened its first proprietary BlueHouse lounge at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in December 2025.
JetBlue also announced that a second lounge location will open this year at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). These lounges allow JetBlue to better compete against larger airlines like Delta, United and American, which have long offered this amenity.
Below, CNBC Select shares everything you need to know about JetBlue's new New York lounge, its upcoming Boston lounge and how to access both.
JetBlue airport lounge details
JetBlue's new airport lounge at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport is located in Terminal 5. The JFK space spans 9,000 square feet and two floors, offering fresh bites curated by Union Square Events and beverages from NYC partners Joe Coffee, The Greats of Craft and Please Don't Tell. The Boston lounge will be located in Terminal C.
While the JFK lounge is already open, both lounges will feature JetBlue branding and regional artwork. You'll be able to fill up on free food and beverages, including barista-made coffee bar beverages and craft cocktails, and both will have private workspaces, complimentary Wi-Fi and plenty of places to recharge your electronics.
How to access JetBlue BlueHouse lounges
JetBlue recognizes that overcrowding is a common issue for airport lounges, so it limits BlueHouse access to its most loyal customers.
You can't access BlueHouse lounges when you're flying on the cheapest Blue Basic Fare, and additional guests cost $39 each (beyond any complimentary guest access you qualify for). If you qualify for entry, you can visit up to three hours before your scheduled departure (longer for connecting flights) and need a government-issued photo ID and a same-day boarding pass.
Select Mint flights
You can access BlueHouse lounges when you're taking a transatlantic flight in JetBlue's Mint class, which is its long-haul international business class cabin.
Notably, complimentary access will not be extended to Mint customers traveling within the Americas, such as transcontinental and Caribbean routes.
Top-tier JetBlue Mosaic status
JetBlue has four tiers of Mosaic elite status, and Mosaic Tier 4 members receive complimentary access to JetBlue lounges for themselves and one eligible companion. This is a valuable addition for anyone who is a Mosaic member or is considering earning status with JetBlue.
To qualify for Mosaic 4 status, you need to earn 250 tiles. You can earn tiles when you make JetBlue purchases, including spending on a JetBlue airline credit card. You'll earn one tile per $100 you spend with JetBlue, including flights, vacation packages and more. For credit card spending, you'll earn one tile per $1,000 in eligible JetBlue card transactions.
JetBlue premium cardholders
JetBlue's premium travel credit card, launched in January 2025, can get you access as well. The JetBlue Premier Card offers complimentary JetBlue BlueHouse lounge access for the cardholder (including authorized users) and one guest traveling on eligible fares.
Paid access
JetBlue now sells lounge passes if you meet certain criteria. You (and eligible guests) can buy a single-entry pass for:
- $59 if you have Mosaic 3 status or are traveling on a non-transatlantic Mint ticket
- $79 if you have Mosaic 1 or 2 status
How to get lounge access in Boston or New York right now
With a Priority Pass airport lounge membership, you can access 10 lounges at JFK and three lounges at BOS. The good news is that lots of credit cards offer Priority Pass membership at no additional cost.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve® offers complimentary Priority Pass Select membership for the cardholder and up to two guests at no additional cost (see rates and fees).
