Citi is no longer accepting applications for the Citi Custom Cash® Card product as of May 28, 2026.
For a limited time, Prime members can double their savings on gas.
Members enjoy 10 cents off per gallon year-round, thanks to Amazon's partnership with bp's earnify™ loyalty program. But every Friday through May 29, that discount jumps to 20 cents off per gallon on a single fill-up at a participating bp, Amoco, ampm or Thorntons location in the U.S.
Regular gas hit an average of $4.55 per gallon on May 22, according to the American Automobile Association, the highest since the beginning of the Iran war. So even 20 cents off a gallon can add up.
Get all the details on this limited-time Amazon Prime gas discount, plus other ways to save at the pump.
How to get a gas discount with Amazon Prime
Prime members typically save 10 cents per gallon via bp's free earnify app. As part of its Fuel Up Fridays promotion, Amazon is doubling the savings to 20 cents off per gallon on a single fuel purchase each Friday through May 29.
You have to activate your membership at amazon.com/fuelsavings and pair your earnify account. At the pump, you can either use your phone number or your linked payment method to activate the discount.
The promotion is only available at qualifying bp, Amoco, ampm and Thorntons stations in the U.S.
If you set up an Amazon Family account, you can share the limited-time gas discount with an additional member of your household over the age of 18. Both of you can enjoy 20 cents off per gallon each Friday at qualifying stations.
Boost savings with the Prime Visa
If you already have a Prime membership, it can make sense to pair it with the Prime Visa (see rates and fees). This cash back card offers 5% cash back on Amazon.com purchases, Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market and Chase Travel.
One of the biggest reasons to apply is that the card doesn't require an annual fee, just a Prime membership. In addition to the 5% cash back on your Amazon shopping purchases, it earns 2% back on local transit and commuting (including rideshare), restaurants and at gas stations. So, in addition to the 20 cents per gallon you're saving, you could also earn 2% back at the pump.
The Prime Visa is only available to Amazon Prime members ($139 for an annual membership and $14.99 for a monthly membership) but is very rewarding for Amazon purchases.
- High rate of return at Amazon and Whole Foods
- Easy-to-earn welcome bonus
- Requires an Amazon Prime membership
- If you choose the promo APR you won't earn rewards on those purchases
Rewards
- Earn unlimited 5% back at Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market and on Chase Travel purchases with an eligible Prime membership

- Unlimited 1% back on all other purchases
