The Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card is a valuable 2% cash rewards credit card with a generous intro APR period, something the Titanium Rewards Visa Signature Card lacks. That's unlikely to be a dealbreaker for the Titanium Rewards Visa Signature Card, but if you're on the fence between these two cards and know you have a big purchase (or qualifying balance transfer) coming up, it's something to consider.

Because the Active Cash earns above-average rewards with every purchase, it's a good card if you want a simple, set-it-and-forget-it credit card strategy. But if you pair it with the Wells Fargo Autograph® Card (see rates and fees) or Wells Fargo Autograph Journey℠ Card (see rates and fees), you can get even more value from your rewards, as those cards let you transfer your rewards to Wells Fargo's travel partners such as British Airways Executive Club, Choice Privileges and Flying Blue (KLM and Air France).

While both the Titanium Rewards Visa Signature Card and the Citi Strata Premier® Card earn 3X points for gas and supermarket purchases, the Citi Strata Premier Card also earns 3X points at restaurants and on hotels (not to mention the 10X points it earns on hotels booked through CitiTravel.com).

You can redeem Citi ThankYou® Points for gift cards, cash back, travel and more. These redemption options typically earn one cent per point, but you can often receive more value when you apply the ThankYou® Points toward Citi's transfer partners.

ThankYou® Points transfer to 19 travel loyalty programs, including Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles, Emirates Skywards, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, Wyndham Rewards and more. For example, Virgin Atlantic prices awards dynamically, but on the cheapest days, you can book a one-way economy flight from New York to London for 6,000 miles and roughly $70 in taxes and fees. The cash price for these flights can exceed $300 — even accounting for the fees, you're getting over three cents per point in value.

Is the Titanium Rewards Visa Signature Card right for you?

The Titanium Rewards Visa® Signature Card is issued by Andrews Federal Credit Union, so you'll need to join to apply. If you aren't eligible through other affiliations, you can easily join the American Consumer Council and qualify for an Andrews FCU membership.

The Titanium Rewards Visa Signature is notable for its low APR and low balance transfer fee, making it a good tool to help you pay off debt. However, it doesn't offer a 0% intro APR and plenty of credit cards have rewards rates that are similar or better.
