Today kicked off Live Nation's "Summer of Live!" promotion — a chance to score $30 concert tickets (fees included) for the next week. The timing is notable, coming just after the company was found liable for overcharging consumers.

One in five Gen Z concertgoers admit that they've spent beyond their means to attend a live show, according to a Cash App survey. Almost half (45%) say they opened a new credit or debit card for its access to presale rewards and early tickets.

An estimated 25% to 30% of tickets to major concert tours end up on the secondary resale market, according to industry market data. In New York, those resale tickets go for twice the original face value on average, according to a 2025 report by the National Independent Talent Organization.

The most anyone's paid for a pair of concert tickets is roughly £83,000 (about $111,815) for a 2007 reunion concert at London's O2 Arena. (It was an auction to raise money.) The show set a Guinness World Record for the highest demand of any concert in music history, drawing more than 20 million ticket requests.
