Agentic AI opens up the PC chip market: UBS

Randy Abrams, head of Taiwan research at UBS, said the rise of agentic AI is driving the next wave of computing demand, as artificial intelligence shifts from simple tasks like booking travel to performing more complex, real-world work. UBS forecasts more than 40% annual growth for the CPU market, and that even companies losing share in the CPU space, such as Intel, could still benefit from the broader AI-driven expansion in computing demand.
