The world is not prepared to deal with a surge in food prices, says Nomura's Rob Subbaraman

Rob Subbaraman, head of global macro research at Nomura, says that emerging and frontier economies will suffer disproportionately from rising food prices should there be a severe El Nino event later in the year to worsen the situation of already high agriculture input costs due to the disruption in the Strait of Hormuz.
