China sees itself as equal to the US after tariff truce: CFR's Rush Doshi

Rush Doshi, Director of the China Strategy Initiative at the Council on Foreign Relations, believes China entered the summit intent on making Taiwan a key pressure point. He also thinks Beijing now approaches its relationship with the U.S. from a position of greater confidence after last year's tariff standoff ended in a trade truce, aided by China's leverage over rare earth supplies.
