PIMCO: China bond market remains a ‘beacon of stability’

Stephen Chang, MD & portfolio manager of PIMCO, says China’s bond market continues to offer stability at a time of volatility in global rates, supported by balanced flows and firm domestic demand. He also said the market is digesting Beijing’s ultra-long treasury issuance well, while growing panda and dim sum bond markets reflect rising demand for diversification among global issuers and investors.
