Bayer stock gains on Roundup settlement

Bayer has agreed to pay a $7.25 billion settlement to resolve lawsuits around cancer allegedly caused by its Roundup weedkiller. The settlement - which still needs to be approved by a U.S. court - would cover current and future litigation and would not involve Bayer admitting liability or wrongdoing.
