Congress debates the SAVE America Act, a national voter ID bill

In February, Congress debated the SAVE Act which forces states to fortify voter ID requirements. The act, described by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as “Jim Crow 2.0” may limit voting access for some 21 million Americans that do not have documents proving citizenship readily available.
