Cory Combs, head of critical minerals and supply chain research at Trivium China, says that governments will have to intervene across multiple levels of the rare earths production chain simultaneously to make it commercially attractive, and that the medium to long-term strategic conversation will have to be around what the appropriate level of diversification is justified.
