Former U.S. trade official sees room for U.S.-China de-escalation
Frank Lavin, fellow at the University of Southern California and Former Undersecretary for International Trade during the Bush administration, says that he doesn't see China keeping global export controls in place on a permanent basis, adding that it's a "lose-lose" situation for both sides. He believes that the door to a resolution between the US and China remains open, so it's likely that there'll be some good news in the coming weeks.
