Marking International Women’s Day 2025, former Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard — the first woman to hold the post — tells CNBC's Tania Bryer her concerns over the “backlash” on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion under the U.S. administration of Donald Trump. As chair of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership at King’s College London, Gillard also shares new research which suggests Gen Z is the most divided peer group on gender equality.
