Josh Harris paid a record $6.05 billion to add the NFL's Washington Commanders to his firm's sports portfolio, which already included the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, the NHL's New Jersey Devils and Crystal Palace of the English Premier League. The deal brought hope to one of the NFL's most storied teams and tortured fan bases. They hope Harris' track record in sports and as a successful hedge fund manager will put a winning team on the field and make the price Harris paid look like a real bargain.
