As Europe locks down, White House reassures Americans that won't happen here
The White House reassured Americans it had no plan to institute a nationwide lockdown due to Covid. This assurance comes even as the U.S. saw a 16% increase in the seven-day average of Covid cases. Cases plateaued between 70,000 and 75,000 per day in late October, but have now reached an average of 92,400 per day, according to Johns Hopkins.
