100 years later, continuing the legacy of Tulsa's Black Wall Street

Bobby Eaton knows activism well; he's the son of Bobby Eaton Sr, 85. Bobby Sr. is a well-known local activist whose father lived through the Black Wall Street riots of 1921 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bobby Jr. reminisces on the period when Black Wall Street thrived. He also remembers the pain inflicted on the community during the riots. Today, Bobby runs Eaton Media Services, which hosts radio shows discussing Black news and issues in the Oklahoma area. He's encouraging younger generations to work through the traumas of the past.
