Satya Nadella has been Microsoft's third CEO, after Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer, since 2014. Born in India in 1967, he received a master's degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin and spent two years at Sun Microsystems before arriving at Microsoft in 1992 to promote the Windows NT operating system. He ran teams focused on server products and web search. Under Nadella's leadership, Microsoft has built a large cloud-computing business, acquired Activision Blizzard and LinkedIn and invested over $10 billion in OpenAI.
