JD Vance

JD Vance is the 50th vice president of the United States. He was elected in 2024 as the Republican running mate of President Donald Trump.

Vance represented Ohio in the U.S. Senate from 2023 through January 2025, resigning to become vice president.

He previously served in the Marine Corps during the Iraq War and worked for several years in venture capital firms.

A graduate of Ohio State University and Yale Law School, he is the author of the 2016 memoir "Hillbilly Elegy."
