Jamie Dimon
CEO of JPMorgan ChaseJamie Dimon is the chief executive officer of JPMorgan Chase. He has become nearly synonymous with the firm, which he has led since 2005. Under Dimon, New York-based JPMorgan went from being a mid-tier bank to the biggest Wall Street bank by revenue and the undisputed leader in American finance, with a coast-to-coast network of retail branches.
Dimon guided JPMorgan steadily through the 2008 financial crisis, avoiding the worst of his industry's excesses during the housing bubble and swooping in take over Bear Stearns and Washington Mutual when they failed. He pulled off a similar feat in 2023, acquiring First Republic during the regional banking crisis.Dimon said in 2024 that he planned on retiring within five years.
