If you're looking for a job that will accommodate your passion for travel, the need to relocate for a partner's job or your desire to spend the winter someplace sunny, a work-from-anywhere role could be the answer.
While some remote roles have location restrictions based on tax and labor laws, work-from-anywhere jobs allow employees to work 100% remotely from any country or time zone.
These roles provide "ultimate flexibility" for employees who are able to demonstrate their ability to "produce high-quality, high-level results" in a remote environment, says FlexJobs career expert Toni Frana.
A FlexJobs report published Jan. 27 identified the top industries and job titles that offer the most work-from-anywhere opportunities, based on their analysis of over 60,000 companies in the FlexJobs database in 2025.
The top five career fields for work-from-anywhere jobs are computer and IT, project management, marketing, communications and operations, according to the report.
Project-based and digital-driven roles like software engineer and data analyst lend themselves to asynchronous work, Frana says, but even client-facing jobs like account manager or social media manager can be performed across locations and time zones.
These are the top 10 job titles with the most work-from-anywhere roles, according to FlexJobs, and their average salaries according to Payscale.

Average salary: $97,382 - Social Media Manager
Average salary: $60,254 - Product Manager
Average salary: $100,142 - Account Manager
Average salary: $95,956 - Data Analyst

Remote jobs remain in high demand: Last year, 58% of workers said they would prefer to work fully remote, according to Frana.
Work-from-anywhere roles are particularly scarce. Just 5% of all remote job postings in 2025 qualify, according to Frana, and most of these postings are for senior-level roles. Only 3% of the the work-from-anywhere jobs in FlexJobs' database were categorized as entry-level, while 77% were listed as "experienced" and 20% were listed as manager-level.
To land one of these "highly competitive roles," Frana advises job seekers that "the quality of your application beats quantity." In other words, job seekers should focus on tailoring their applications for each role, rather than sending out a flood of generic applications, she says.
Additionally, Frana tells job seekers to "really highlight the remote experience you have," as well as any "remote-friendly skills" you have demonstrated in previous roles, like communication, organization and adaptability.
"It's really important to figure out ways to set yourself apart," she says.
